===SIGHTBOOK™ OVERVIEW===

Retinal diseases may result in vision loss if not promptly recognized and treated. Important symptoms of retinal disease include decrease in visual acuity, image distortion, loss of contrast discrimination, defects in the visual field, or inability to distinguish colors accurately. Early diagnosis and treatment can significantly improve the chances for a good outcome.

The optimum dose and frequency of treatments varies from individual to individual. Standardized and frequent vision testing can be an important tool to monitor and optimize treatment for each individual.

The DigiSight™ Mobile Vision Assessment System provides tools to support standardized and frequent vision testing. The system integrates a vision assessment App named SightBook™, running on a mobile device (e.g., an iPhone or iPod Touch) with an Internet-based vision care network and web site.

===SIGHTBOOK™ APP===

The SightBook™ mobile App contains a set of quantitative near vision tests which an individual can take at home or elsewhere using an Internet-connected mobile device. This self-testing enables the individual and, if desired, his or her physician, to detect changes in eye function, thereby facilitating timely diagnosis and therapy.

The SightBook™ mobile App tests include Snellen Visual Acuity, Amsler Grid, Contrast Sensitivity, Color discrimination and Low Light acuity and contrast. Individuals can select tests from a menu, and can take any test at any time. They can also define a sequence of tests—typically in consultation with their physician—to be taken at regular intervals as often as necessary. The SightBook™ vision measurements obtained on backlit LCD screens have been carefully correlated with traditional measures of visual function, including the ETDRS distance chart and Rosenbaum Near Card traditionally used in office measurements.

The results of each test are displayed immediately on the mobile device. In addition, the results are automatically uploaded to the DigiSight™ Network, and they can also be made available to a designated physician in a secure and confidential fashion.

Examples of the SightBook™ App screens below show the test menu, the Visual Acuity test, Acuity Results, a Treatment page and the measurement units and Doctor Connect sections of the Settings screen.

===THE DIGISIGHT™ NETWORK AND WEB SITE===

The DigiSight™ Network is a web service that enables vision test results collected on an individual’s iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to be instantly and securely uploaded to that individual’s personal account on the DigiSight™ web site. Once an individual’s test data has been uploaded to the DigiSight™ Network server, both the individual, and his/her designated eye doctor, can access the information via an authenticated channel. Moreover, the doctor can be automatically alerted to significant changes in his or her patient’s vision. This enables the doctor to adjust and optimize the patient’s treatment regimen in a timely fashion.
